What new things have you done since you turned 40?
In chronological order - since I turned 40 I've:-
* Had 2 tattoos done (40)
* Got married (43)
* Got divorced (45)
* Been in a 4sum ;-) (46)
* Learnt to ride a motorbike & passed my test (47)
* Learnt to scuba dive (47)
and there's still a lot more to achieve

Got a computer and learned to use it
Started a little bicycle collection
Picked up backpacking again
Got a dog and five cats

Hired on as full time to a new company (44)
Got divorced after 25 years (I initiated) (45)
Learned to scuba dive (48)
Started LTR as an LDR (48)
Bought a new house (49)
Changed employers (51)
Moved to a Oregon from California (51)
Bought a new condo (52)
And I'm not done. ...... ;-) Maybe I'll learn to drive a motorcycle.... ;-)

learned (learning) to brew beer
started gardening again - mostly herbs
foraging for wild mushrooms
shaking (and drinking) classic cocktails and throwing cocktail parties
shooting pistols & rifles - became an NRA (safety) instructor
going back to school and studying chemistry -

got a second divorce (well, it occurs like it was a hobby now!)
made my sewing hobby into a business
picked up my banjo again and considering learning electric guitar
got 4 big goldfish as pets
got healthy and gave up sugar for the first ime in my life-- it feels great!
starting to learn to spin poi
starting to learn in line skating

went to burning man for the first time (42)
got seriously into amient and space music (42 - now)
began planning to retire (44)
abandoned burning man (47)
retired! (50)
plans now that i am retired:
get a phd in philosphy
take trips to the black rock desert with friends instead of going with 50,000 others
travelling with my sweeheart
listening to ambient and space music all day and all night
taking life back, after corporations attempted (and failed!) to wrest it from my control - bwa hahahahahaha!!!

Went to Burning Man for the first time (42)
Found a new life partner (43) who is still my life partner (49)
Became a Reiki practitioner (43) and master (45)
Bought a house for the first time (45)
Learned to snorkel (yes to some of us it's an acquired skill) (43)
Traveled internationally on breaks (43-49)
Took a year off to travel to India, SE Asia, and Europe (48-49)
Keeping up the travel//health/conscious citizen vibe by walking/taking the train/light rail to work (49)
Okay those aren't all hobbies, but still.

Took off on the road for 4 monthswith my other half in his semi-truck. (46)
In the works..... putting my house on the market by March so I can move from Oregon to Alaska within the next year. Entering the next phase of my life head on with open arms.

became clairvoyant
took classes in wine tasting and wrote a newsletter
got off the fossil fuel grid
became a spa and pedicure enthusiast
